Makeup and Prosthetics
One of the most arduous tasks and spectacular successes was the combination
of prosthetics and makeup for many of the major characters. This shows the
makeup whiteboard with a partial list of the special makeup designs required.
The most carefully crafted prosthetic was for the Master of the Inferno.
His makeup also included false teeth, contacts, prosthetics for chest, arms,
and legs, and stilts to accentuate the Master's height. Of course, he was
still able to hang out with the makeup artists.
Another task was the creation of the anti-preacher's horrific visage, similarly
molded, cast, and carefully painted.
Other complex makeup effects were applied for each run night by skilled
makeup artists. Many of the cast (under instruction) were able to do their
own makeup, reducing the load on the makeup department.
